Did you know that Hygiene Poverty is NOT federally recognized as a basic need?
Our Community Hygiene Care Program Series is a necessary answer to alleviate the burden of hygiene poverty in our community. We offer a comprehensive set of trauma-informed, community-centered workshops designed to improve personal health outcomes and strengthen public health resilience across Los Angeles. Each session combines practical body care, skincare, and menstrual care education with hands-on demonstrations, culturally affirming practices, and open Q&A that reduces stigma around hygiene poverty.
Participants engage in guided self-reflection and leave with quality hygiene kits or products generously supported by partners like LUSH Cosmetics.
Our workshops are adaptable for youth, adults, and families, and can be delivered in group, school, shelter, or community wellness settings.
Tailored for various demographics: youth, young adults, adults, and senior citizens.
By providing both education and essential products, this series helps close critical health equity gaps while empowering residents with the knowledge, confidence, and resources needed to maintain consistent hygiene care, especially during periods of displacement, disaster-related emergencies, or economic hardship. EVERY human DESERVES adequate hygiene access, Hygiene Care is a Human Right. We believe in changing our Community through Service, Humans, and Hygiene.
